As a REALTOR serving the greater Hartford, CT area, my goal is to guide homeowners and buyers through the maze of selling or buying a home with the least amount of stress and the best outcome. Having moved with my family many times over the years, I have a personal understanding of the stress and anxiety both buyers and sellers have during this life changing event.

Whether I work with SELLERS who are downsizing after living many years in their home surrounded by the things they love, or those who have decided to move after just a short time in their home, moving is a stressful, life changing event. I am uniquely qualified to assist my clients and ease them through the process of selling their home.

As Co-founder of Creating Sustainable Communities, One Home at a Time (CSC), and a Realtor with a Certified Sustainability Designation, I am in a position to better serve my clients AND my community as a Sustainability Specialist. I recognized the important role Realotrs can play in making a difference in the environment and the communities they serve by helping homeowners with the disposal of their unwanted furnishings and household items in an eco-friendly way. I coined the term for the service our organization offers as “Cleanouts with a Conscience”. CSC just received a trademark designation for this exclusive name!

Creating Sustainable Communities, One Home at a Time (CSC), previously Real Estate Agents Recycle, has been an invaluable resource for my clients both financially and personally. It provides me with an opportunity to provide VALUABLE services to my clients AND help my community at the same time!

Donating furniture and household items to those in need and having The Junkluggers (CSC’s junk moving vendor) know where their usable items will do the most good , and knowing that their unusable items will be properly recycled or repurposed, helps my clients part with their unwanted items and.also makes the transition easier. In addition, CSC is very helpful to me as a home preparation and staging expert. The Junkluggers work with me and my clients to remove unwanted items in stages so we will have furnishings for home staging until the home sells.

For BUYERS searching for the “perfect” home, I enjoy helping them manage the challenges in today’s Real Estate Market and finding them the home that they love and that will love them back for years to come. First time buyers as well as those who have owned homes previously find the marketplace to be confusing. With so many houses to look at and consider, my experience helps them meet both their financial goals and personal needs.

As Co-founder of CSC, I believe I am well equipped to guide my clients with the decision that is often the largest investment of their lives. As a CSC member agent with a Certified Sustainable Designation, I am well qualified to educate my home buyers and home sellers on energy saving measures they can take to make their homes more energy efficient and connect them with energy conservation companies to provide home energy audits and energy saving products and services. that will save them money AND reduce their carbon emissions. In addition, I can help them navigate through the tax incentives and rebates that are available for homeowners who take energy saving measures in their homes.

Having spent most of my adult life in the nonprofit world, co-founding Creating Sustainable Communities, One Home at a Time (CSC), previously REAcycle, was a natural step for me. . Serving my clients in an honest and open way, helping them move forward through meeting their real estate needs gives me great joy. Navigating a move whether buying or selling is stressful and I hope to ease that stress with each and every one of my clients.

CSC gives me and my clients the opportunity to make a difference in underserved communities and in the environment. Paying It Forward is contagious. Our partnership with The Junkluggers and our sponsorship of Efficiency for ALL provides careers in Energy Efficiency and Materials Management . It also gives us an opportunity to help Homeowners Donate to those in need and Recycle instead of filling up our landfills. For those who have been previously unemployed or underemployed, we are able to help create jobs that pay living wages. Our sponsorship of The CT Coalition to End Homelessness helps those who are transitioning from homelessness or substandard housing to safe, permanent housing.

CSC helps people move forward with pride and hope which gives me great joy!
