The Founders

"What is the use of a house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?" - Henry David Thoreau

We co-founded Creating Sustainable Communities because we believe a tolerable planet is dependent upon connecting homeowners to organizations dedicated to environmental and humanitarian stewardship that promote social equity and ecological sustainability. We believe Realtors have the power to make a positive impact on the environment, and efforts to reduce unemployment and homelessness by facilitating initiatives to reduce material and energy waste and sponsoring organizations that are dedicated to creating green jobs and promoting affordable, permanent housing.
